Program Cover

This cover was designed to work as a shell or cover for all of CalArts' performing art events. The programs for the individual events are stapled inside. The program cover lists the names and titles of the faculty and staff in the school of dance, music and theater. This year the client wanted the design of the program to be more literal, so I created illustrations that show people performing.

The Herb Alpert School of Music Program at CalArts' brochure/poster designed as a marketing tool to introduce the schools' DMA program.

CalArts Community Arts Partnership (CAP) 20th Anniversary Campaign

The CalArts' Office of Advancement ask me to produce several different design pieces to be used as a part of the CAP 20TH Anniversary celebration. The CalArts Community Arts Partnership (CAP), is a program of the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), that links the Institute and the diverse communities of Los Angeles County through free, after-school and school-based arts programs for the youth.

This brochure was used as fundraising piece for the program, commemorating its 20 years of service. The Advancement team wanted a design that was clear, simple and easy to read, but one that also captured the spirit of CAP. So I used big type, primary colors and created abstract patterns to give the brochure inviting and less cold.

The program covers are designed to fit as a cover around the programs for events and performances put together by students at the California Institute of the Arts. The program covers list all the names of faculty and administrators in the dance, music, and theater programs, as well as an advertisement (designed by Peter Kaplan) for the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater (REDCAT).
